Education and Training
A science enthusiast at heart, Dr. Minahan’s orthodontic expertise is rooted in advanced academic training and a strong research background.
- She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Prior to dental school, she was honored to participate in research at the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to evidence-based care.
- Dr. Minahan went on to complete her Master of Science (MS) in Oral Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude, concurrently with her Orthodontic Specialty Residency at the University of Maryland Orthodontics Department.
To provide patients with the highest level of care, Dr. Minahan remains deeply committed to continuing education and consistently invests in the most current, research-based orthodontic techniques and treatment protocols.

Community and Personal Life
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Minahan spent much of her youth on the East Coast and in Europe. French is her first language, and she enjoys challenging herself by learning additional languages, including sign language.
She treasures time with her husband, their two daughters, and their beloved pets. Outside the office, Dr. Minahan continues to deepen her love of travel, dance, hiking, cuisine, theatre, literature, and the arts. She always welcomes recommendations and enjoys connecting with patients over shared interests.
